Enrol in Art Safari, Artech @ MOTAT & one other FYA Holiday Programme Class for $250!

ART SAFARI @ Auckland Zoo

Tuesday 9th July 2019 (Jess) OR Thursday 18th July (Antonia), 9.30am to 4pm Cost: $99 incl GST, Materials and Admission. Auckland Zoo, Motions Road, Western Springs. Limited to 8-10 artists (depending on ages)

A one day drawing programme for children aged 7 years and over.

Sketching giraffes, characterising the monkeys or over-emphasising Burma’s wrinkles – it’s all part of the fun on “Art Safari”.  We will spend the day exploring Auckland Zoo learning many different drawing techniques and skills on our explorations.  Our focus will be on drawing the animals as much as their Zoo habitat.  We will use numerous drawing mediums and each child will get their own sketching pad to record their studies and drawings – creating their own ‘explorer in the wilderness’ journal to take home with them.   And we will fit an animal encounter into the day as well – could it be more pawfect!   ENROL NOW!

A one day drawing programme for children aged 7 years and over

MOTAT is full of history & memories of time and things past – it’s like opening your grandparent’s shed and exploring what you find inside! Because we are looking old fashioned objects we have chosen techniques that will give an old-fashioned effect to match the subject matter – sepia toned pencils, pencil & wash, and we use old fashioned colours. We will be drawing in 4-5 main areas of MOTAT. Each area will have a specific focus and a different way of drawing.  ENROL NOW!
